In addition to stitching there are so many blessings in our lives. The first piece, Blessings Sampler Quilt celebrates that fact. It was released at the Nashville Market but it deserves a place of importance at this show. Monochromatic Kitty Quilt is new at this show. It is a delight to introduce this piece to you because it reminds me of our kitty, Nicky. He looks a lot like the kitties on this quilt with his big ears, two white spots on his face and a tail that curls. I almost called this quilt Nicky’s quilt. But I called it Monochromatic Kitty Quilt to call attention to the fact that you don’t have to use the colors pictured. It is very easy to change the colors, there are only two. Just pick out a light and a dark color in the same color family and your set to go. The four kitty charms and one heart charm finish Monochromatic Kitty Quilt off perfectly. In the Needlepoint Corner you’ll find the brand new needlepoint piece Thinking Green. This piece is a great teaching piece with its 8 clearly diagramed stitches. In shades of green with a small leaf charm it gently reminds us of the importance of thinking and living green. The last new piece is Hooked on Flip Flops is great fun! The colors and the design is delightful. As with most Handblessings patterns the charms finish the piece off perfectly. There are many pieces here that are perfect for sitting out on a summer’s day and delightfully stitching away.
